The classic DS 1 Boss distortion pedal was launched in 1978.

Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and tons of other guitar greats have used the Boss DS 1 distortion pedal.

With the Ds 1′s optimum level control, you can set this pedal to match your volume level, or give it a boost for when you go into a screaming lead. There are also knobs to adjust the tone and distortion of the Boss DS 1 distortion pedal.

The Boss DS-1 Distortion Pedal allows lots of flexibility all in one simple package. Easy knob controls, a very strong outer casing, and a very reasonable price. Even with all of the Boss distortion and overdrive pedals available for guitarists, the Boss DS 1 distortion pedal is one of the most widely used guitar pedals.

The DS-1 also has a check indicator. This indicator lights when the effects pedal is On and is also used as the battery check indicator. The battery is dead when the effects pedal is on but the check indicator doesn’t light up. The Check doesn’t light when the power to the DS-1 is on, only when the effect is applied.

In conclusion the Boss DS 1 distortion pedal is definitely one of the most versatile rock gadgets ever manufactured. I have seen these on effects pedal boards of jazz gutarists, punk guitarists, blues guitarists, metal guitarists, among others. The DS 1 has a unique sound through every single rig. The Boss DS 1 distortion pedal has a wide range of sound so try it out for yourself and see.

Boss DS-1 Distortion Pedal

From screaming loud to whisper soft, the Boss DS-1 Distortion Pedal can faithfully reproduce the dynamics of your playing style. Level and distortion controls give you complete command of the amount of signal processing. Tone knob lets you tailor EQ right on the unit. The Boss DS-1 Distortion Pedal is a tough stompbox that can take whatever your boot can dish out. Includes 5-year warranty.

A new Boss pedals forum has been added to the site today. You can check it out here. The forum is brand new so hopefully we will start to get some posts very soon. If you have an idea for a forum category that is not there then contact us and let us know and we will put it up.

Basically the forum will be used to ask questions and share information related to Boss pedals. I see a ton of people asking questions about pedals on our Facebook page so I figured it would be a good idea to have a place on this site for people to ask the same questions.

So if you need to know anything about Boss pedals then post a topic in the forum and someone will answer your question.

Are you looking for a pedal board for all of your Boss effects pedals? If you are anything like me then you definitely need somewhere to keep your fast growing collection of Boss Pedals neat and in order. Why not a Boss pedal board for your Boss pedals? If you are looking for a quality pedal board at a good price then the BCB-60 might be just right for you.

The BCB-60 Boss Pedal Board is light weight and very durable. It is designed to hold Boss compact and twin pedals, but also holds most other stomp box and effects pedals from other manufacturers. All cabling is included with this Boss pedal board, along with an AC adaptor which can run up to seven pedals at once.

The BCB-60 is made of a very tough molded resin, while the interior is designed with foam material that can be customized to fit around your pedal. This Boss pedal board includes three foam inserts that are pre cut to fit any BOSS compact and twin pedal. Also included is an extra foam insert that can be cut to fit almost any other effects pedal. Even pedals from other manufacturers. This is definitely one Boss pedal board worth looking into.

The BCB-60 comes with all necessary cabling and an attached AC adaptor with 1,000 mA of power which can run up to seven devices right from the pedal board. The exterior is constructed from durable molded resin, making it ideal of gigging musicians.

If you are a Boss pedal junkie then why not a Boss pedal board?
